Dana Wachter is a Registered Nurse who is dedicated to help those who suffer from Tic Disorders and Tourette Syndrome. Dana is certified by the Tourette Syndrome Association (TSA) in CBIT therapy for Tourettes and is also on the Board of Directors of Tic Toc Stop, a non for profit foundation dedicated to help those who suffer from Tourette Syndrome and tic disorders.
Two Treatments Dana may implement:
Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics(CBIT) Therapy helps patients to manage their tics and reduce their tic severity. Clinical studies show that those who undergo CBIT therapy may have the same, if not greater, reduction of tics than those who are on medications for Tourette syndrome. In addition, CBIT Therapy is supported by the Tourette Syndrome Association (TSA). For more information on CBIT Therapy treatment for Tic Disorders and Tourette Syndrome, please visit "About CBIT"
Nerve Decompression is a very simple alignment of the TMJ that may relieve pressure on the auriculotemporal nerve, a branch of the trigeminal nerve, the largest cranial nerve, that controls motor and sensory function. This decompression often results in an immediate reduction of tics. For more information on this treatment for Tic Disorders and Tourette Syndrome, please visit "Nerve Decompression"
